This Clayfield building design and renovation at Sefton Road showcases a builder-led design approach in collaboration with JDL Construction. As a result this project delivered a strategic, high-impact transformation that redefined liveability, aesthetics, and resale potential for a dated two-storey home.

 

The client, a time-poor professional, specifically wanted a refined, modern interior with a focus on the master suite and improved functionality for future family buyers while increasing the value of the property. Therefore, we worked entirely within the existing footprint to reconfigure the master bedroom, walk-in robe, ensuite, and living spaces. In addition, angled wall realignments and integrated cabinetry concealed services and improved flow.

Above all, a standout feature was the installation of raw engineered blackbutt flooring. It runs seamlessly across staircases and split levels, creating unity throughout the home. Although unforeseen issues arose, such as failed waterproofing and structural sag in the front balcony, we resolved each challenge quickly and cost-effectively through collaboration with the builder. As a result, the renovation achieved practical solutions without compromising design intent.

Moreover, this builder-led design partnership with JDL Construction ensured a smooth process and exceptional outcomes. Consequently, the result is a sophisticated, contemporary interior that meets market expectations and significantly boosts the home’s value.
